Logo

The logo for the XIX Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 is inspired by the Chakra, the national symbol of freedom, of unity and power. Spiralling upwards, it depicts the growth of India into a proud vibrant nation.

Mascot

The most visible face of the Commonwealth Games that is emblematic of all the values of the country is the mascot called Shera. Majestic, powerful and graceful Shera carries within an implicit message…. One that brings into sharp focus the fragility of the environment in which he lives. Shera is the face of the Commonwealth Games and will encourage all citizens of India to “Come out and Play”, to come out and participate and make the Games a success.
